Downtown Statesboro came alive with the sounds of classic beach music tonight, Thursday, April 10th, as the legendary group, The Tams, launched the third annual Downtown Live concert series. Their energetic performance officially kicked off a season of free, family-friendly entertainment set against the backdrop of the Bulloch County Courthouse.
Running on select Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM from April through June, the Downtown Live series offers six free concerts on East Main Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Food trucks and vendors open at 6:00 PM each concert night, with downtown restaurants also nearby.
The Tams, celebrating over 50 years in music, treated the crowd to beloved hits like "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," "What Kind of Fool," and "I've Been Hurt." Their blend of Smooth Soul, R&B, and Beach Music continues to appeal to audiences of all ages.
