The Statesboro Farmers Market returns to their face to face market downtown on Saturday and saw record crowds. The market opened at 9 AM in the Synovus parking lot downtown and by mid-morning many of the vendors had sold out of product.
Over 25 venders participated in the opening, face to face market, which included many of shoppers favorites like Hunter Cattle, Jacob's Produce, Sugar Magnolia Bakery and Wilmore Farms.
One vendor who was noticeably absent was Corks Kettle Corn. They do plan to return later in the season.
Executive Chef Patrick White prepared tastings from food purchased in the market and local favorite Donnie Collins entertained the crowds.
Grice Connect walked through, as the Statesboro Farmers Market returns, on FaceBook Live Saturday morning, with market manager Relinda Walker, to allow our followers who could not attend the market a chance to "visit."
A Live Tour of the Market
The face to face markets will continue downtown from 9 AM to 12:30 PM every Saturday through November. The incredibly popular Market2Go will continue also.
