This December, Premier Dental Wellness held their 9th annual “Gift of Dentistry” event. Dr. Richard Marz and his team, along with East Georgia Center for Oral Surgery, performed dental services for patients in need -- all completely free of charge.
The dental services at this event are offered on a "first come first serve basis," with patients lining up early in the morning to be triaged. During last year's "Gift of Dentistry," over 100 patients were provided dental care.
This December, they successfully provided to services to 98 patients which included fillings, cleanings, and extractions.
Dr. Marz, his associate Dr. Christian Walker, and the Premier Dental hygienists volunteered their time and skills for the day performing cleanings and fillings.
From East Georgia Center for Oral and Facial Surgery, Dr. Patel, Dr. Sellers and Dr. Uribe, along with their team, provided the extractions.
Dr. Suketu Patel, of East Georgia Center for Oral & Facial Surgery said, "Our doctors and staff really enjoy this event and love the opportunity to provide for those in need. There are so many people in our community who live in pain because they can't afford dental treatment. We hope to help these individuals smile and feel better right in time for the holidays."
Dr. Marz understands the large need for dental care in our community. He said, “We are grateful for the continued support as it is our way to give back to a community that has been so good to us.”
