For many adults, libraries are one of the core memories of childhood. Browsing the shelves for that special book to carry home and read, getting your first library card and proudly checking out books, the excitement of returning books into the drop box, all foster a love of reading that carries children into book-loving adults.

But libraries are much more than books—they serve as community resource accessible to everyone.

Your local library is full of ways to put your library card to good use. A PINES Library card is free, as are replacement cards.

With a PINES library card, patrons can check out everything from their favorite movies to state park passes. Your library card gives you access to the materials in the library, plus access to other materials in other PINES libraries throughout the state of Georgia.

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Library has free public computers and free Wi-Fi, which allows the public to access essential services. Offering this technology in public spaces is one of the many efforts public libraries are making to combat Georgia’s gap in internet access.
