After being canceled for the last two years due to COVID, the Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County will once again host its annual Kids & Community Gala on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 6:30pm-8pm at GSU's Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, with a VIP meet and greet being held beforehand for specially ticketed guests.
The guest speaker for this year’s Gala will be "America’s Got Talent" Mentalist Colin Cloud, who currently performs his residency in Las Vegas, while also touring globally around the world!
The purpose of the Kids & Community Gala is to be a charitable fundraiser for the local Boys & Girls Club organization.
The Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to support the under-served children of Bulloch County and invigorate their talents and interests through year-round programs and services. They believe that through these ongoing programs and services, the local youth will unleash their inner potential and reach the highest selves.
The Boys and Girls Club is excited to resume its annual community gala, which previously had an annual participation of 400 attendees, all full of anticipation of interacting with the chosen celebrity speakers and guests!
Colin Cloud proves to be the perfect entertainer for this year’s Gala, as the Boys and Girls Club desired a different type of speaker for this year's event. Normally, speakers are asked to give more moving, impassioned speeches to inspire the attending audience. However, the club wanted simple fun and entertainment to be the main highlight of the community gala this year (especially since it has been out of commission for the past two years).
Colin Cloud’s mentalist act will do just that!
A mentalist is a magician who performs extraordinary feats through the demonstration of their unusual mental powers (e.g., Mind-Reading, etc). And Cloud has honed his talents so well, that he has been dubbed by the global media as the “Real-life Sherlock Holmes.” From appearing on The Ellen Show, to Broadway, to America’s Got Talent, you most certainly do not want to miss the wonders that this mental master will perform at this year’s annual gala!
The Boys and Girls Club of Statesboro would like to thank its title sponsor Automation Systems and Controls, Inc., as well as its supporting sponsor Bulloch First for their leadership in securing this dynamic talent for their event. They are excited to resume their local gala and look forward to seeing the full crowds of people in attendance again this year.
