A Family Tradition Since 1983

Robert and Anita Wiggins, owners of the Wiggins Tree Farm, have been helping families fill their homes with Christmas spirit for over 41 years. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a cherished part of the Bulloch County holiday season.

This year, the farm opens on November 27th at 1 p.m., and Thanksgiving Day hours are from 1 to 7 p.m. Following Thanksgiving, they’ll be open Friday 1-7 p.m., Saturdays 9-7 p.m., and Sundays 1 p.m. until closing time.

Robert Wiggins, who spent over 42 years working in engineering, and his wife Anita, a retired elementary school media specialist, are still hands-on in their “family hobby.” Even after all these years, the couple’s holiday spirit is contagious, with returning customers often treated like family.

North Carolina’s Finest Frazier Firs

While the Wiggins’ no longer offer a “choose and cut” option, loyal patrons can still find the high-quality Frazier fir trees from North Carolina. Mr. Wiggins calls them the “Cadillac of trees.” Available in sizes from 6 to 12 feet, these trees are as lush and beautiful as ever.

Prices range from $80 to $250, with options to fit various budgets and home sizes.

“We get repeat customers every year,” Robert says. “People even come up from Florida to get their tree here. It’s like family coming home to Thanksgiving every year.”

Festive Decor and an Upside-Down Tree

Inside their home, Anita goes all out with Christmas decor, adding charm and warmth to each room with about 40 smaller Christmas trees, each lovingly decorated. It’s a true winter wonderland, with everything meticulously stored and brought out for the season—a testament to Anita’s passion for spreading holiday cheer.

One standout feature in the Wiggins’ home decor is a fully decorated upside-down tree—a hit with kids and adults alike. Inspired by a magazine idea Anita saw years ago, it’s become a unique holiday highlight for families visiting the farm.

“The kids love it; first thing they want to do when they come is to go see the upside-down tree,” Robert laughs.

Continuing the Tradition

Despite the recent challenges with weather and tree availability in North Carolina, Robert is optimistic that this season will be as busy as ever. With a dedicated team helping out, the Wiggins family looks forward to welcoming familiar faces and new visitors alike.
