MEET DR. BRIAN SELLERS

Brian Sellers was born and raised in nearby Hazlehurst, GA.  He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996.  He had a varied path that led from Sales, to IT work for the CDC in Atlanta, to owning a cabinet company with his brother.  After losing the business to a fire, he and his brother pursued a career in dentistry at Augusta University Dental College of Georgia, where he continued his studies in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  After graduating he was blessed to find an opportunity to join previous DWTSS two-time competitor Dr. Suketu Patel, and local legend Dr. Rodrigo Uribe at East Georgia Center for Oral and Facial Surgery.

Being able to be a part of the community that brings back such fond memories has been a blessing.  Like most of South Georgia, the need for dental surgery care is always difficult.  Brian and his partners strive to provide quality, timely, and compassionate care to the best of their ability.  Their staff and facilities are top notch and strive for comforting care in stressful situations.

Brian met his wife Mia while at GSU dancing the two-step many years ago.  He has two boys Kyle (23) who is a second year at AU Dental College of Georgia, and Carter (20) who is a Junior here at GSU.  Both of his boys are noted Carolina Shag dancers as well.  The greatest part of being back in Statesboro is the people.  Running into friends from 7th grade Y-Club to meeting all the new people that have made it home reminds him every day how special this community really is.

MEET COURTNEY CRIBBS

Courtney Cribbs is a life-long resident of Bulloch County and is a Southeast Bulloch and Ogeechee Technical College alumni. She is currently employed with East Georgia Center for Oral and Facial Surgery as a Surgical Assistant. She grew up in the small town of Brooklet where she learned to love dancing and eventually began teaching dance.

Her expertise has come from almost 20 years of dance recitals, competitions, talent shows, entertaining at pageants, and performances at venues such as: Walt Disney World, Atlanta Hawks games, Six Flags, and Carowinds. Courtney is also a member of Nevils Trinity Baptist Church, where she is a part of the Media team.

Being no stranger to a stage and given the invitation to dance for such a great cause, there was no way she could turn down this opportunity. This is Courtney’s second year with Dancing with the Statesboro Stars as a pro dancer. However, this year is a little different as her boss is her dance partner. She loved this experience and how it brought her out of her comfort zone. She is thankful for all of the opportunities that Safe Haven and DWTSS has brought her these past two years.
