Statesboro is set to host an adrenaline-pumping weekend as "Rope the 'Boro" comes to the Bulloch County Ag Center on September 14-15, 2024. This highly anticipated roping competition offers one of the final chances in the Southeast for competitors to qualify for the 2024 World Series of Team Roping (WSTR) Finale.

Get ready for a thrilling weekend as Top Hand Productions presents "Rope the 'Boro," a two-day roping competition set to take place at the Bulloch County Ag Center on September 14-15, 2024. The event is one of the final chances for ropers in the Southeast to qualify for the 2024 World Series of Team Roping (WSTR) Finale.

Participants and spectators alike can look forward to a packed schedule, with events starting early each day. The competition features various divisions, including #12.5, #10.5, and #8.5 WSTR categories, offering ropers of different skill levels the opportunity to compete for cash prizes, buckles, and more.

Saturday, September 14

The day kicks off with the #12.5 slide, followed by #9.5 and #10.5 WSTR categories. Entry fees range from $60 to $150 per roper, with options to enter multiple times. The day will also feature Pick One Draw One or Draw Two events, with buckles awarded to first-place winners and additional prizes for second place.

Sunday, September 15

Sunday continues with the #8.5 WSTR and #10.5 events, leading up to the highlight of the day, the #9.5 THP Money Maker, which offers an 80% payback on a $100 entry fee. The day will wrap up with more Pick One Draw One or Draw Two competitions, with buckles and prizes on the line.

Event Details

Books open at 7:30 a.m. each day, with roping set to begin at 9 a.m. Ropers must have a USTRC, WSTR, or Global Handicap Membership to compete, and all entries must be completed by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.

For those needing accommodations, hookups and stalls will be available on-site, with fees ranging from $10 to $25, depending on the service required.
