Over three million are without power across Florida and multiple fatalities have been reported.  Early assessments indicate significant damage across Florida.

At 5:00 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024, the center of the hurricane was emerging off the state near Cape Canaveral, and the worst conditions have shifted to east-central and northeastern Florida.

Bulloch County remains under a wind advisory until 8:00 pm on Thursday night.  Max wind gusts are possible exceeding 30 mph.  Spotty power outages are possible because of weakened trees from Hurricane Helene.  Use caution on the roadways and stay alert for the potential of downed trees throughout the day.
