ReTails Thrift Shop will be having their 12th Anniversary sale on Saturday, November 11th, from 10am-3pm. They will have $5 "fill a bag" of clothing, $2 shoes, 10% off artwork, and a blind percentage off at checkout. Weather permitting, they will have snocones, popcorn, and a tie-dye shirt event. You will be able to dye your own t-shirt with a donation of $15 to the Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County or buy a pre-tie-dyed shirt for $10. HSSBC t-shirts are also available to purchase here, with all proceeds going to helping the animals of Bulloch County.
The Humane Society will be having an adoption event next door to ReTails from 11am-2pm. Come and visit some adorable furry friends up for adoption after you shop! Check out The Humane Society's adoptable pets here.
ReTails is a non-profit thrift store that sells clothing, household items, decorative items, furniture, books, media, and much more. The thrift store is donation reliant, and all of their profits go to the Humane Society, which includes rescues, the trap-neuter-release (TNR) program, spay/neuter programs, vouchers, and vet bills.
According to Kristy Garrigus, Manager of ReTails, the store was opened in 2011 by a “group of amazing women" in the community, who did all the legwork and provided the start-up costs of opening the store. They managed the store as well as found volunteers and support from the community. When the store was self-sufficient, it was handed over to the Humane Society where its business has steadily increased. The Humane Society Adoption center is located right next door to ReTails.
Kristy says there will be plenty of Jeff’s pictures around the store for fans. Wink wink.
