Ogeechee Technical College’s FBLA Collegiate chapter continues to raise the bar, earning top honors and statewide recognition at the 2025 FBLA Collegiate State Leadership Conference held March 28–30 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Beyond individual accolades, the chapter was named Chapter of the Year for the second year in a row in addition to completing all five monthly service challenges, earning platinum level in the Award of Merit program, and finishing 3rd in fundraising for Alzheimer’s Awareness.
“Our chapter has made history as the only one in Georgia to receive both top awards two years in a row, Chapter of the Year and Advisor of the Year,” said Twisdale. “The students and I are proud to set a new standard of excellence for FBLA Collegiate chapters statewide.”
All students who competed at state level have now qualified to attend the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference, to be held May 30–June 2 in Dallas, Texas. There, they’ll compete on a national stage among the country’s top collegiate business talent.
Throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, the chapter has remained deeply involved in leadership development and professional growth, attending events like the Georgia Fall Leadership Conference, Career Connections in Atlanta, and Leadership Boot Camp in Macon.
Looking ahead, chapter members will dive into preparation for Nationals, with intensive training, mock interviews, and fine-tuning of presentations—all backed by faculty advisors and industry mentors. Fundraising efforts are already underway to help make the trip to Dallas a reality.
FBLA Collegiate, formerly known as Phi Beta Lambda, is a nationally recognized organization that prepares students for careers in business through hands-on experiences, competitive events, leadership training, and service projects.
To that end, Ogeechee Tech’s chapter continues to make a difference far beyond the competition stage. Over the past year, they’ve volunteered at local soup kitchens, participated in Feed the Boro, organized blood drives, led cleanup efforts, and raised awareness for causes such as breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. These efforts exemplify the mission of FBLA Collegiate—to shape students into career-ready, community-minded leaders.
