• Bulloch Academy: Closed Monday, September 30 & Tuesday, October 1
   
• Bulloch County Schools: Closed Monday, September 30 - Friday, October 4
   
• Candler County Schools: Closed Monday, September 30 & Tuesday, October 1

• Georgia Southern University: Closed through Sunday, October 6

  All Georgia Southern University campuses will return to normal operations on Monday, Oct. 7.

  All classes (both online and in-person) will resume on Monday, Oct. 7. 

  All in-person University events are canceled through Sunday, Oct. 6.
  

• Ogeechee Technical College: Closed Monday, September 30 - Friday, October 4

• Statesboro STEAM: Closed Monday, September 30-Friday, October 4

• Trinity Christian School: Closed Monday, September 30 - Friday, October 4

  While progress has been made in restoration efforts, the County is still facing several challenges. Many roads are still blocked by debris, fallen power lines, and malfunctioning traffic signals, especially in rural areas. Approximately 88% of rural electric utilities are still not functioning and numerous small water systems and private wells are out of service due to the power outages. Solid waste centers are overwhelmed with debris and food waste and several county buildings and properties have been damaged, affecting working conditions. Communication and computer systems in county facilities remain unreliable. To finish assessing and repairing the damage and before resuming full operations, a list of closures and cancellations for the remainder of the week are provided below:

  BULLOCH COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES – CLOSED

  We plan to reopen at 8:00 AM on Monday, October 7^th. The closure does not apply to Public Safety, Public Works, and similar essential services.

  BULLOCH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS – CANCELLED

  The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners scheduled for October 1, 2024, at 5:30 PM is cancelled and will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.

  The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners scheduled for October 3, 2024, at 5:30 PM is cancelled and will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.

  BOARD OF EQUALIZATION HEARINGS (TAX APPEALS) – CANCELLED

  Hearings scheduled for 9/30, 10/1, and 10/2 will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.

• Bulloch County Courts

  Per a Judicial Emergency Order, all Bulloch County Superior, State & Juvenile Courts are canceled all week. This includes Grand Jury.
  
  The Clerk of Court's Office will be closed at a minimum of Monday and Tuesday (09/30 and 10/01).
  
  If you had a scheduled court appearance this week, please reach out to your attorney for guidance on a new court date.
  
  If you were scheduled to serve as a Traverse Juror on Tuesday 10/08/24, it has also been cancelled and you do not need to appear. 
  
  All Board of Equalization Tax Appeal Hearings for this week are canceled. 

• East Georgia Regional Medical Center Clinics:
  All scheduled surgeries/procedures are postponed for 9/30. 
  Statesboro Imaging Center will be closed through Wednesday 10/2.
  East Georgia Sleep Center is closed until further notice.
  East Ga Pain Management will be closed on Monday 9/30.
  East Ga Cardiology will be closed Monday 9/30.
  East Ga Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehab will be closed through Tuesday 10/1.
  East Ga Wound Healing Center will be open as usual on Monday 9/30.
  Statesboro Family Practice will be open on Monday 9/30 as usual. 
  Cedar Surgical will be open on Monday 9/30 as usual. 
  East Ga Gastroenterology Institute will be open on Monday 9/30 as usual. 
  East Ga Pulmonology will be open on Monday 9/30.
  East Ga Urology will be open on Monday 9/30.
  East Ga Family Practice (Dr. Benson) is closed until further notice.
  Internal Medicine of East Ga (Moogerfelds)  is closed until further notice.

• Statesboro Service League Attic Sale: POSTPONED; New shopping dates are Thursday, Oct. 3, Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5

• The Teal House Open House: Rescheduled to October 3
  
  The event originally scheduled for Thursday, September 26 has been moved to Thursday, October 3.
