Savannah SCORE is now accepting online applications from aspiring local entrepreneurs who want to become contestants in Savannah SCORE’s “BizPitch Savannah™” 2024 Entrepreneurial Competition.
What is SCORE’s “BizPitch Savannah™” Entrepreneurial Competition?
The “BizPitch Savannah™” Entrepreneurial Competition is an annual regional “Shark Tank” style event organized and presented by the Savannah Chapter of SCORE, the nation’s largest provider of free business mentoring and educational programs for small businesses, business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Each year, eight aspiring local entrepreneurs are invited to apply to pitch their businesses. This kinder, gentler version of TV’s “Shark Tank”, “BizPitch Savannah™”, now in its seventh year, offers aspiring local entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges .
SCORE Savannah’s 7th Annual Shark Tank-style entrepreneurial competition is being held on October 18, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at the Eckberg Auditorium, Savannah Technical College, 5717 White Bluff Rd. Savannah, GA 31405.
That evening, Eight Finalists will pitch their business ideas to the panel. Three of the finalists will be chosen as winners, each will be awarded cash and professional services valued at over $10,000 to help them launch their new or existing small business. This exciting and fun evening is open to the public at no charge.
Applications for the 2024 competition are now open. To enter, the business being pitched must meet several requirements—among them:
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- The proposed businesses may be either a new start-up or an existing business with revenue earnings under $100,000
- Winners must agree to locate the business in one of the following Georgia Counties: Bulloch, Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty or McIntosh.

Contestants will receive the link to the online application upon payment of the non-refundable $25.00 entry fee. The deadline for submitting applications is Midnight, Sunday, August 11, 2024.
