Teams for one of the most anticipated annual events, Dancing With the Statesboro Stars benefiting Safe Haven, were announced this week. This will be the 14th year this signature event has been held. DWTSS is honored to have D&R Car Care again as this year’s presenting sponsor.

At the DWTSS Dancer Appreciation Kick Off Event, each Star was introduced along with their professional dance pro, who will join them to make the ultimate dream team. The kickoff dinner was held Wednesday evening at the Statesboro Homebuilders Association.

Dinner was provided by Al Chapman and Blue Mile Catering and lemonade by Ava Mincey of Ava’s Lemonade, and decorations by Kerri Knight, owner of Party Impressions.

Guests heard from many inspirational speakers and learned more about Safe Haven and the vital services they offer our community and the DWTSS journey to the mirror ball.

The 2024 DWTSS Committee includes Kim Billings, Chair, Tami Kicklighter, Alana Avret, Diana Ray, Amanda Dyches, Corbett Deloach and Russ Lanier.

This year’s Dancing with the Statesboro Stars promises mesmerizing performances that will captivate and delight the audience on November 21 at 6:30 pm and an encore show on November 24, 2024 at 3pm at Connection Church.

Each community member is matched with a professional dancer who will help them choreograph their dance performance for the event. These twelve teams will showcase their dancing skills for a charitable cause and raise funds for our Safe Haven. Each one of these individuals will be donating their time to this amazing nonprofit and making memories that will last a lifetime.
