For the second night in a row, a man has died in a single vehicle accident in Bulloch County.

According to GSP Sergeant Robbie Scott, at 6:31 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023 Bulloch County 911 issued a lookout to Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies and Georgia State Patrol Troopers for a reckless driver in a Black SUV.  The SUV was traveling south in the northbound lane of State Route 67 near Anderson Cemetery in Bulloch County.  Several seconds after the lookout was dispatched, it was discovered that the vehicle ran off the roadway and onto the east shoulder of State Route 67.

Once the vehicle left the roadway, it struck a culvert where it vaulted into the air and overturned several times.

When GSP Troopers and Bulloch County Sheriff Deputies arrived on the scene, the driver was deceased.

Bulloch County EMS and Bulloch County Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene as well.

After further investigation, Troopers discovered multiple diabetic needles inside the vehicle and it is believed the driver was having a medical episode which resulted in the crash.

Bulloch County Coroner Richard Pylant identified the deceased as Rev. Dr.  Clarence "Teddy" Williams, Jr. (64) with both Statesboro and Savannah address.

GSP Master Trooper Chris Cuddington and Trooper Matt Davis are handling the investigation.
