The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office issued a statement on their facebook page on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 regarding a fake social media post that have been circulating the last few days.
The post informed the citizens of Bulloch County about some information on FAKE social media posts that have been circling around the Statesboro area on public social media platforms.
These Posts (see above) are believed to have been generated in Zimbabwe.
The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office has also confirmed with local Law Enforcement agencies that there is no further information or reason to be concerned about these individuals in the Statesboro/Bulloch area.
If a B.O.L.O. or lookout is issued by the Sheriff's Office it will include our contact information and an alert if the public needs to be cautious.
