The IHLA's new traveling exhibit, “Are You Prepared for Disaster?” is hitting the road to help rural communities prepare for hurricanes and storm surges, offering hands-on guidance, interactive tools, and practical resources to ensure safety during natural disasters.

With a current absenteeism rate of 20.7%, these efforts focus on raising awareness, fostering collaboration, and equipping schools to address barriers to attendance.

Ogeechee Technical College recently celebrated the exceptional achievements of its students, with 140 individuals earning spots on the President’s List for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 177 others being named to the Honor List for achieving impressive GPAs between 3.5 and 3.99 for the Fall 2024 semester.
