The community is invited to celebrate a major milestone in local education as officials break ground on the Statesboro STEAM Academy's new facility.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Friday, February 28th, at 11am, marking the beginning of an innovative educational facility dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners approved the funding for the new STEAM facility on July 16th, 2024. The new facility is scheduled to open its doors in 2026.

Stuart Gregory, Director of Business Development for Bulloch Solutions, spoke on Bulloch Solutions' partnership with the STEAM Academy to create the new facility.

"At Bulloch Solutions, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge networking solutions that empower education and innovation," Gregory said. "By partnering with STEAM Academy, we are ensuring students and faculty have secure, high-performance connectivity with next-generation networking and Wi-Fi solutions powered by Arista Networks. Our advanced security and access control measures provide a seamless and protected learning environment, enabling the next generation of STEM leaders to thrive in a digitally connected world. We are extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to support and participate in the future of these students."

The event will bring together local leaders, educators, and community members to commemorate the start of construction. The groundbreaking will take place at the corner of E. Main St. and the 301 Bypass/Veteran's Memorial Parkway.
