After announcing they were ending their annual Christmas Lights drive-thru, the Thompson family has decided after the public response, to bring it back this year for a shorter time period. The light show will open on Saturday, December 9, 2023 and run for a little over two weeks ending on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. The light show will be open from 6 PM to midnight nightly.
Believed to be one of the largest and longest drive-through Christmas lights displays in Georgia consisting of over two miles of Christmas lights.
Deborah and Roy Thompson, owners of TMT Farms on the north edge of Bulloch County, along with their family are known for their annual TMT Farms Christmas Lights drive thru display.
When they announced in September that they were ending this annual tradition the response on social media was overwhelming disappointed and many begged them to bring it back for one more year.
"Roy and I were watching a Hallmark movie over the weekend and one of the lines in the movie said, 'May we never get too old that we lose the magic of Christmas' and that hit us like a ton of bricks," said Deborah Thompson. "We know so many people depend on this to bring them the true magic and meaning of Christmas and we just can't let that go."
The TMT Farms Christmas Lights show will open on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 6 pm and will run nightly from 6 pm to 12 am, through December 26th. Bathrooms are provided near the front entrance.
Gifts for families in need for admission
The public is invited and in lieu of admissions, TMT accepts non-perishable food items, cash contributions, dog/cat food (pet supplies) and new - unopened toys. They donate the food to the the local food banks, the toys to Toys for Tots to be distributed to children in need and the pet food to local organizations that rescue pets.
Gifts collected will be given to families in need
The food, and toys, will be distributed to needy families throughout Bulloch and surrounding counties. The monetary contributions are used to purchase gift cards for needy families. They also help families that need a hand up during other times of the year. Please help TMT help others!
