Child Advocacy Services SEGA Inc. (CASSEGA) celebrated the grand opening of their new location on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025. The ribbon cutting was hosted by the Statesboro Bulloch Chamber of Commerce.

CASSEGA is a non-profit organization with offices in Guyton, GA, as well as in Statesboro.

"We believe in a community where every child and family has access to resources to help them thrive in a safe and loving home in Bulloch, Screven, Jenkins, and Effingham," said the director of business operations at CASSEGA, Kristen Kramer. "Our programs—CASA Ogeechee, PCA Ogeechee, and the Ogeechee Visitation Center-strive to prevent child abuse and neglect, advocate for vulnerable children, educate the community on best practices, and provide safe spaces for family connections.

Moving from their previous location in the Outreach Center building on Denmark St., the new office is meant to feel more "home-like," like the office in Guyton does.

CASSEGA had been located in its previous space for 20 years.

Their new location is now on North College St., the same street as The Teal House and Safe Haven, which they frequently partner with.

"This new space allows us to expand our services, collaborate with community partners, and create a welcoming environment for children, families, and volunteers," said Kramer.

Moving forward, CASSEGA employees are "looking forward to hosting community events and CASA volunteer training for years to come and having children and families be able to play outside in the green space we now have," Kramer said.
