Pineland Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) hosted a carnival on Friday at their Bulloch Counseling Center on North College Street.
The event was coordinated by Joseph Folsom, site manager for Pineland’s Bulloch Counseling Center in an effort to expose the community to the wide range of services available from Pineland.
The carnival included mechanical rides, bounce houses, music, cotton candy and popcorn. By Mid-day over 250 children registered at the carnival.
"Today is a family outreach event for the community to come out, get some food, have some fun and get some resources to learn more about Pineland's services we offer to families and to the youth of Bulloch County such as Systems of Care, the Impact Clubhouse and the Apex, which is an in school program. We also offer individual counseling, group counseling, in school or we can come to you in your home for counseling," said Folsum.
"Today is about getting everyone out to enjoy community and see what is available here at Pineland. We would also like to thank Brave Tomorrow a partner agency for coming out today to support the event."
Pineland services are available to the general public in Statesboro and eight surrounding counties.
