Despite the heat, Statesboro was on its feet the evening of Thursday, July 11, as downtown played host to The Maxx band.
Part of the 2024 Downtown Live Concert Series, The Maxx consists of seven members, all who contribute to the vocal sound of the group, while the majority of them also play an instrument. The band played a variety of music from different genres and time periods with songs ranging from hits by Bruno Mars to AC/DC to Frank Sinatra.
