Soyumi Asian Kitchen of Statesboro, Georgia, was recognized as the Best of Georgia Regional Winner for Sushi Restaurant this past year. Soyumi received this honor due to their innovation and unique blend of Asian cuisine.
Upon their opening in 2018, Soyumi is widely recognized for their premiere sushi and cocktail bar. In 2021 alone, the restaurant released dozens of sushi specials that catered to trends and the community at large. Some of these sushi rolls include: the Everything Bagel Roll, the Squid Games Roll, the Safe Haven Roll, the Buffalo Chicken Roll, Sushi Pizza, and more.
“Winning this award means that all the work that has been put into the organization has been worth it,” said Soyumi owner, Adam Tsang. “To not only be recognized on a local level, but on a state level makes me proud of my team, makes me excited about the future, and it gives a sense of credibility to all the work we have put in over the last three to four years.”
This winning attitude leaves customers coming back for more. Win Lee, a Soyumi regular since 2018, has enjoyed an average of two meals a week at the restaurant since they opened their doors. He recommends his favorites, the Volcano Roll, Bento Box, and a classic side salad. Due to the unique and tasteful presence of Soyumi, the restaurant has become one of Win Lee’s go-to catering spots for his business and clientele.
Soyumi competed against 20 other counties for this award across Southeast Georgia. Including Vidalia, Claxton, Sylvania, and surrounding cities.
Other local Statesboro hot spots brought home regional awards, including Eagle Creek Brewing Company in the Breweries category, Sum’Mo Tea & Things - Best of Georgia for Bubble Tea Shops, and Three Tree coffee in the Coffeehouses Category. The Statesboro Mainstreet Farmers Market for Fresh Produce and Farmers Market, Rolling Monkey, and Tandor and Tap also all won regional titles.
