Celebrate Recovery at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, 23805 U.S. Hwy 80 East, Statesboro is presenting a FREE event opportunity to hear the life changing story of Dr. Howard Wasdin, former Navy SEAL TEAM SIX SNIPER.
When the U.S. Navy sends their elite, they send the SEALs. Dr. Howard Wasdin graduated with SEAL Class 143. After combat in Desert Storm he later became a top sniper with SEAL Team Six. For his actions in "Operation Gothic Serpent” in Mogadishu, Somalia (more commonly known as “Black Hawk Down”), he was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States, and the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in action. He was wounded three times and nearly lost his right leg. His transition to civilian life after medical discharge accompanied medical, marriage and addiction challenges which Howard met with faith and courage.
Howard Wasdin is the author, “SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy Seal Sniper”, a New York Times bestseller, “I am a Navy SEAL Team Six Warrior” and “The Last Rescue, How Love And Faith Saved A Navy Seal Sniper”.
Howard travels as a motivational speaker, inspiring others to overcome adversity, love one another, all while encouraging patriotism and a strengthened faith in God. Currently, Howard lives in Jesup, Georgia, where he is a practicing Chiropractor and community leader focusing to serve in areas that promote children and teen education.
