The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets hosted the Effingham County Rebels in the first game of the new season on Tuesday, November 19th. Effingham defeated Southeast Bulloch with a final score of 59-35.

Both Bulloch Academy's varsity basketball teams hosted the Statesboro STEAM Dragons in a doubleheader on Monday, November 18th. The boys won 56-51, while the girls won 57-29.

After being rescheduled due to inclement weather, the 2024 FCA All Star Game was played on Tuesday, November 12. Southeast Bulloch and Statesboro sent players to represent Bulloch County.

This season was a year to remember for the softball teams in Bulloch County. Several players in the county received recognition for their play this season.

Southeast Bulloch basketball is set to begin next week. Both the boys and girls’ teams are looking to improve on the seasons that they had last year. 

The Statesboro High Blue Devils basketball season is set to begin. Both teams have high expectations for what they want this campaign to look like.

The Portal basketball season is right around the corner. We talk with Coach Brannen, boys varsity coach, and Nicole Newton, girls varsity coach, about the plans for this upcoming season.

Portal picked up their 4th win of the season in the final game. Head Coach Jason McEachin met with his guys for one last time. "We got to end the season the way we wanted to, with a win," McEachin said. "Not everyone can close out the season with a W."  Portal ends their season with 4 wins and 6 losses.

The Southeast Bulloch Softball team has 5 players that will play in the 2025 FCA All Star game. The game is scheduled to take place on Thursday, but its status is in the air due to weather conditions.
