Both of the Southeast Bulloch varsity soccer teams were in action for a region doubleheader against the Calvary Day Cavaliers on Thursday evening. The wind made for chilly conditions for both the players and the crowd.

Thursday's game was a matchup between the two top teams in the region. SEB entered the game being 2nd in the region with a 5-1 record, while Calvary Day sat at 1st with a 5-0 record in the region.

Southeast Bulloch started out fast as Emma Cate Barron scored the first goal of the game in the first 15 minutes of the game. Calvary Day would respond with a goal of their own late in the 1st half. The game was back and forth for the most part with both teams battling for possession of the ball. Calvary Day was able to get more quality looks at scoring than the Yellow Jackets.

The 2nd half saw the Cavaliers score 2 goals to give themselves some space for the win. The score may have not gone the Lady Jackets way, but they have reason to hold their heads high. The defense of Southeast Bulloch played phenomenal even in the loss. Daisy Calhoun finished the game with 15 saves. SEB held Calvary Day to 3 goals compared to the 47 that they have scored in the last 5 region games.

The Lady Jackets record is now 8-2 with a 6-2 record in region play.

The Southeast Bulloch boys were looking to end a 4-game skid. They hosted a Calvary Day team that had a 5-1 record in region play.

The game was a stalemate until late in the first half when Calvary Day got on the board. A handball by SEB led to the Cavaliers second goal in the 26th minute of the 2nd half.

Southeast Bulloch got some good looks at the goal, but stellar defense kept them off the scoreboard. The boys have now lost 5 straight games, but they look to be improving every game.

The Yellow Jackets are now 4-7 with a 2-5 record in region play.
