Georgia Southern track and field will travel to two meets April 21-22. Some Eagles will compete in the Georgia Tech Invite at George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta, and the remainder of the team will compete at the USC Outdoor Open at Cregger Track in Columbia, South Carolina.
The Eagles last competed at the Spec Towns – Torrin Lawrence Invitational April 14-15, where Na'ilah Moore won the triple jump and took fifth in the long jump to lead Georgia Southern. Moore posted the seventh best mark in program history with a 12.29 in the triple jump and notched the ninth-best distance in the long jump with a 5.84.
Imani Moore finished second in the triple jump with the eighth-best mark in school history (12.27). MaKenna Hillmer took third in the heptathlon with a scored of 3965, the 10th-best in program history, and Sam Holbrook finished fifth in the hammer throw with the sixth-best toss in school history (47.94).
Following this week's competition, the Eagles will host the Georgia Southern Classic April 29, at Eagle Field in Statesboro. The Sun Belt Championships are scheduled for May 11-13 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Conway, South Carolina.
