SPD Impact Team makes drug trafficking arrest in Statesboro

Officers on the Statesboro Police Department’s Impact Team investigated a drug complaint on Catherine Avenue and arrested two individuals, one for drug offenses and the other on an outstanding warrant for battery.

On January 1, 2025, officers assigned to the Statesboro Police Department’s Impact Team arrived at a residence in the 400 block of Catherine Avenue in Statesboro to investigate a drug complaint and attempt to locate a wanted person.

Upon arriving, the officers were able to develop probable cause and obtain a search warrant for the premises. The subsequent search uncovered quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, prescription pills, and marijuana.

Otis Yaniel Flores-Tirado (26, Statesboro) was charged with two counts of Trafficking Controlled Substances (fentanyl and methamphetamine), one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute (prescription pills), one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute (marijuana).

Christian Yandel Flores (24, Statesboro) was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Battery. Both were transported to the Bulloch County Jail.
