The Georgia Elite Flag Football Classic has become a tradition for the top players in the state. This year, Portal's Katielyn Yates has been selected to compete in the game.
Yates was the quarterback for the Lady Panthers this season and helped lead them to an appearance in the sweet 16. She threw for 2024 yards in her first full year as the field general.
In a statement from the Panthers flag coaching staff, they saud that Katielyn is ecstatic about playing in the game. "She is a big leader on and off the field," the staff said. "She has consistently shown that there wasn't a throw that she couldn't make."
Yates also participates in softball, track, and dance.
The Georgia Elite Flag Football Classic will be on Friday, December 27th at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia.
