Georgia Southern volleyball has released its 2024 schedule, head coach Chad Willis announced.
The Eagles, who recorded 23 wins last fall en route to a berth in the NIVC Great Eight, will embark on a four-game preseason schedule and 24-game regular season schedule.
GS kicks off the preseason with a Power Five matchup at Florida on Aug. 24 before heading to Auburn for a three-match tournament where it will face host Auburn, Wofford and North Alabama beginning on Aug. 30.
Georgia Southern's entire non-conference schedule will be at home, hosting three tournaments in Hanner Fieldhouse. The Eagles host the GATA Challenge from Sep. 5-7, the Eagle Invitational from Sep. 12-14 and the Bash in the Boro Sep. 19-21.
During these matches, the Eagles will face Clemson on Sep. 5 and Winthrop on Sep. 21, who the team defeated in the opening round of the NIVC in 2023.
The team kicks off its conference schedule at home against Old Dominion from Sep. 27-28. The conference schedule features NCAA tournament teams James Madison (home, Oct. 25-26) and Coastal Carolina (Nov. 1-2) and will close with a road swing at Louisiana (Nov. 14-15), the teams' first meeting in Lafayette since 2021.
The Eagles hope to improve on the 23-win season from a year ago and make the team's first NCAA Tournament since 2013.
