EGRMC is proud to announce our October 2024 East Georgia Regional Medical Center Employee of the Month, Janet Choudhury, clinic receptionist at East Georgia Gastroenterology Institute and exceptional team member within our medical group.
Janet Choudhury has been part of the team at EGRMC for a little over two years. Janet was nominated by her colleagues for her welcoming attitude, attentiveness to patients in the waiting room, strong sense of responsibility and her dedication to supporting her fellow East Georgia Gastroenterology Institute and EGRMC team members.
Janet’s colleagues at the clinic say that, “Janet goes above and beyond when it comes to our patients’ care. As a receptionist she offers so much more in her kindness and empathy when checking in patients at the front desk. Janet truly recognizes that many patients walking through the door are unwell and may not be in the best state of mind, and she approaches each interaction with patience and understanding. She does everything she can to make each patient feel comfortable while waiting for their appointment. When she notices that patients have been in the waiting area for a longer period of time she will offer water and do a check in with each patient to make sure they know they have not been forgotten.”
“Along with her outstanding patient care, she also is a great team player. I have never heard her say “this is not my job”. Janet looks for tasks to help keep the team moving forward. She always has a smile and will do everything in her power to make sure all tasks are completed,” states another team member.
