Kyle Vantrease, last year's standout quarterback for the Georgia Southern football team, will take to the airwaves this season as a member of the Georgia Southern Sports Network radio team, as announced Wednesday by Danny Reed, Director of Broadcasting.

In Coach Clay Helton's first season, Vantrease threw for a school-record 4,247 yards ranking him in the top tier of all FBS quarterback in 2022. The transfer from Buffalo led the Eagles in their 45-42 upset victory over Nebraska and threw for 578 yards to knock of Top 25 James Madison.

Vantrease will work alongside of Reed, play-by-play, Terry Harvin, color-commentator, and tailgate host, Frank Sulkowski. Harvin and Sulkowski are entering their 18th and 13th seasons, respectively.

"Eagle Nation is going to love listening to Kyle on our broadcasts," said Reed, who starts his ninth season as the Voice of the Eagles. "As a former quarterback who understands this offense, Kyle's perspective and breakdown of the game from the sidelines is going to be a huge asset."
