Glennis Murray Jackson, age 76, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and lived in Stilson all her life. Glennis graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 1966, and began college in 1967 at Savannah Technical College. She worked for an attorney for several years before working at USDA - ASCS for over 10 years, and ran Jackson Electric for 25 years. Glennis enjoyed traveling, fishing and flowers. She was a member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church & Lighthouse Baptist Church. She loved the Lord by reading the bible everyday and praising the Lord. Glennis was married for 32 years to her late husband, Larry Jackson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Juanita Cribbs Murray; and father, Clinton Murray; and her brother, Alton Murray.
Survivors include her two children and their spouses, Clinton & Lisa Jackson and Mary Elizabeth & Larry Gunderman; grandsons, William Larry Jackson, Lawrence Alan Gunderman, and Randall Alton Gunderman; her loving companion, Bud Harry Shurling; and sister-in-law, Alice Jackson.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Old Fellowship Baptist Church.
The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wes Sherrod, Rev. Tony Pagliarullo,and Rev. Wayne Ayer officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Wayne Cribbs, Will Groover, Timmy Jackson, Danny Sherrod, Glenn Shurling, and Luke Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Brown and Will Brown.
