Jona Ross was born on November 27, 1968, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to the late Henry and Annie Lou Rucker Ross.
At an early age he and his sister moved to Statesboro, Georgia where they were raised by their grandmother, Minnie Lou Rucker.
He received his formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County Georgia and was a graduate of the Statesboro High School class of 1988.
Jona worked at various jobs in management in Georgia and Florida. He was outgoing, easy going and laid back. Not quickly angered.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Minnie Lou and Fred Rucker, paternal grandparents, Florean and Boykin Ross.
Jona leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Marjona Ross, his twins, Andreyia and Claudin Ross; a loving sister, Ersula Ross; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his easy, calm and caring spirit.
Viewing will be held on the day of service from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.
A celebration of life services for Jona Ross, will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Rev. Jeremiah Jones, officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
