Statesboro home reduced to ashes in Friday fire

A fire on Friday afternoon completely demolished a home in Mill Creek Estates near Statesboro. Emergency responders arrived at the scene at 12:10 pm to find the mobile home engulfed in flames. Thankfully, no one was living there, and no injuries were reported.

A house in Mill Creek Estates, located just outside the city of Statesboro, was completely destroyed by a fire on Friday, leaving the structure in ruins. 

The emergency call came in to Bulloch County 911 at 12:10 pm, prompting immediate dispatch of the Statesboro and Bulloch County Fire Departments to the scene on Mill Creek Road. Bulloch County Deputies were the first to arrive and confirmed the home was a total loss.

When firefighters reached the location, they found the mobile home already collapsed and engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters worked diligently for over an hour to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and to prevent any potential rekindling of the flames. In addition to the fire departments, Bulloch County EMS, Bulloch County CAFE, and Red Cross DAT team members also responded to the scene to provide support and assistance.

Statesboro Fire Department officials will conduct a routine investigation into the cause and origin of the fire to determine what sparked the blaze.
