RecycleFest returns to the Boro this weekend

RecycleFest 2023 will take place at Mill Creek Park this Saturday, November 18, from 9am to 1pm. The event will showcase vendors who are excited to offer Bulloch County residents the opportunity to properly dispose of or donate items in a safe and environmentally-friendly way. Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful (KSBB) is preparing for RecycleFest 2023, an event that will be free to all Bulloch County residents! The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in partnership with Bulloch County Parks and Recreation. The event will take place in the parking lot closest to the back of the park, immediately right of Splash in the Boro. The address to the park is 1388 GA-24, Statesboro, GA 30461.

RecycleFest 2023 will showcase vendors who are excited to offer Bulloch County residents the opportunity to properly dispose of items in a safe and environmentally-friendly way. GreenRock Recylcing ACCEPTED ITEMS:

  • Household metal
  • Household plastic
  • Clean styrofoam

All items must be rinsed and cleaned.

Ultrashred Technologies ACCEPTED:

  • Tax documents
  • Personal papered items
  • Receipts
  • Banking papers

NON-ACCEPTED:

  • Metal of any kind
  • Batteries
  • CDs
  • Electronics
  • Cardboard
  • Three-ring binders

PD Medication DropOff ACCEPTED:

  • Pills
  • Patches
  • Pet medication
  • Over-the-counter drugs

NON-ACCEPTED:

  • Liquids
  • Needles
  • Sharps

ReTails Thrift Store ACCEPTED:

  • Kitchen and household items,
  • Bedding (no mattresses or pillows)
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Electronics
  • Glassware
  • Collectibles
  • Art
  • Books
  • Kid toys
  • Pet supplies
  • Holiday items

All items must be working or gently used.

Free Market in the Boro ACCEPTED:

  • Bring gently used items to trade with others.

Pittman Park UMC ACCEPTED:

  • Household batteries

Habitat for Humanity ReStore ACCEPTED:

  • Any gently used household/furniture item.

NON-ACCEPTED:

  • UNframed mirrors.
