Ogeechee Technical College hosted its first High School Senior Day Tuesday, March 4 in the Joseph E. Kennedy Building. Seniors from Bulloch, Evans, and Screven counties had an opportunity to jump-start their future at OTC.

During Senior Day, students were introduced to the resources and opportunities available at OTC, helping them take their next academic and career steps with confidence. They participated in informative breakout sessions, including Georgia Match and Financial Aid, OTC’s Student Support Services, and Program Overviews.

Students also had the opportunity to hear from one of OTC’s alumni, Heather Gonzalez, who recently won the 2024-25 Bulloch County Teacher of the Year Award. Gonzalez explained how her journey was filled with challenges but that she was able to find her way by enrolling at OTC.

“More than anything, OTC gave me the confidence I needed to chase my dreams and the dreams I didn’t even know I had at the time,” Gonzalez said. “Your path does not have to look like everyone else’s to be successful.”

The seniors in attendance were also invited to attend OTC’s Spring Open House on March 5, an event designed to give attendees the chance to meet instructors and explore all of OTC’s programs in greater detail.
