Local non-profit Lift As You Grow will hold its 2nd annual "Lift As You Give" fundraiser event July 27, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Forest Heights Country Club.
The event will be a tailgating-style event with live music from Miranda Winter along with food, drinks, a raffle, and a silent auction.
Sally Scott, Lift As You Grow founder, says, "There will be a raffle and silent auction with some amazing items so graciously donated by our giving community!" Items are posted on Facebook and Instagram.
Scott says, “We are excited about the upcoming event and would like to thank Forest Heights Country Club for hosting us again this year. I would like to thank the community donors for helping make this event possible. I would also like to thank Kim Simpson, Jacci Schroeder, Mindy Boyette, and my amazing board members for all their help with the event and Lift As You Grow. Thank you to the community for supporting Lift As You Grow and giving the ladies in the program and their families the opportunity to live happy, successful lives! I am truly thankful that this community understands the meaning behind the name of when we are in a position to help lift others and watch them grow in a thriving environment. Lift As You Grow is able to provide that because of their financial support and donations."
Lift As You Grow is a non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable and at-risk women by providing economic mobility through transitional employment and adult education, as well as a safe space for a healing and healthy society.
Their goal is to prevent unemployment, homelessness, and abuse by bridging the gaps some women need by providing the resources to allow them to choose a secure and confident path to become productive citizens and thriving individuals.
