Georgia Southern University is thrilled to announce the grand opening of DYNTL, a state-of-the-art dental clinic located within Health Services on the Statesboro Campus. This new addition underscores the university’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality health and wellness resources for its students, employees, and the broader community.

Grand Opening Celebration & Special Offers
DYNTL celebrated its official grand opening on Thursday, February 13, 2025, with refreshments, giveaways, and guided tours of the clinic’s modern facilities. As part of the launch, over $10,000 in exclusive offers were available to attendees, including complimentary dental exams, free Invisalign® consultations, and major discounts on services.
Comprehensive Dental Care Tailored for Students
DYNTL is staffed by licensed and experienced dental professionals, offering a wide range of services to students, faculty, and staff. Whether you need routine cleanings, restorative procedures, cosmetic treatments, or even Invisalign® clear aligners, DYNTL provides quality dental care right on campus.
"I remember when I was a student here, I could’ve really used a dental clinic on campus," I told the staff during the tour. "It’s great to see this finally happen for students today."
For students without dental insurance, DYNTL offers a dental membership plan that mimics the structure of traditional insurance. The plan includes two annual exams, X-rays, cleanings, and discounts on additional treatments, making it an affordable option for those on a budget.

Advanced Technology Enhancing Patient Care
Janel Miyagi, Office Manager, introduced me to some of DYNTL’s cutting-edge technology, including a 3D scanner that evaluates bite alignment and an AI-driven diagnostic tool called Pearl AI.
"It’s not just us telling patients they need treatment, this technology helps provide a second opinion and adds confidence to our recommendations," Miyagi explained. The AI system assists dentists in spotting potential concerns on X-rays, helping patients understand their dental needs more clearly.
The clinic also offers designated parking spots, ensuring easy access for visitors. Patients only need to register their vehicle at the front desk upon arrival to avoid parking hassles.
A Future of Expanded Services
While DYNTL currently refers out for wisdom teeth extractions and more complex procedures, there are plans to bring in a full-time oral surgeon to handle these services in-house.
"We are a comprehensive dental clinic, and while we currently refer out for some specialized treatments, we are working toward expanding those services right here on campus," Miyagi shared.
DYNTL’s presence on campus eliminates the need for students to take time off from classes or travel long distances for dental care.
"I was telling the first group that came through here, just getting off campus for an appointment can be a hassle. It takes 15 minutes just to get off campus, deal with traffic, stop at all the crosswalks, and then do it all over again to come back," Miyagi explained. "This clinic is a huge convenience for students and employees alike."
