Dr. Patrick Novotny, a Professor of Political Science, has been awarded the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Institutional Award for Faculty of the Year for Georgia Southern University campus. The honor recognizes his outstanding contributions to academia, his dedication to student success, and his impact on the university community.

Dr. Novotny received the recognition in a special ceremony from two students: Delanie Thames, a former student in his POLS 1101 class, and Alex Suk, co-president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
