Drivers traveling through the Market District should expect delays over the next two weeks as resurfacing work begins on Brampton Avenue. The project, which covers the entire length of the road, is scheduled to start Wednesday, April 10, and wrap up by Tuesday, April 23, weather permitting.
City officials are urging drivers to use caution in the area and to be mindful of crews and equipment as the work progresses. Brampton Avenue serves as a key route through the busy Market District, so travelers may want to consider alternate routes to avoid congestion during the resurfacing period.
The Market district is located off of Fair road near East Georgia Regional Medical Center and includes businesses including the Wal-Mart Market and Sugar Magnolia Coffeehouse.
