On January 7th, witness the biggest fights in all of Statesboro at the APW New Years' Fan Fest. This 24-years-running annual event promises to bring some of the best wrestlers in the APW league, such as CuJo, Fletch Malone, PG Rich, The Wolfman, Tommy Nero, the Sons of Liberty, and many more.

"This event is actually one that could be unprecedented in our 24 years because our first match is like the main event match. It will be a no-time limit, two out of three falls match between Abe Wheeler versus Baby Dee," said Chris Avalanche of APW. "We will have five other matches; Andrew Avery, the World Heavyweight Champion, will be there. His partner, JJ, The Wrestling Engineer, who's actually an engineer; they are also the Tag Team Champion. They will put their title on the line against Gio and Phil de Carlo."

All these matches will carry their own storylines similar to what some wrestling fans may be familiar with when watching WWE.

"We're kicking off year 24 with a major invasion," said Avalanche. "Apparently, APW is going to be invaded by Cujo and his coalition. The French Canadians are coming; that's what we're hearing."

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ten and under. All proceeds will be donated to the Relay for Life, benefitting the American Cancer Society.

Parents will be relieved to know that this will ultimately remain a family-friendly venue despite the intense wrestling action APW promises for its audience.

"Conscientious tone, nothing inappropriate, no profanity," Avalanche said. "We cater to kids; that's what we do. Bring all your friends and family and bring your sons and daughters; bring grandma from the kitchen, bring everybody!"

This family-friendly venue is also extended to the audience as well. Alcohol, drugs, and vaping will not be allowed on the premises.

The APW team offers options for those who want to donate directly: CashApp $APWboro or Venmo @APWboro.

APW would also like to thank its fans and various sponsors including D&R Car Care, Hall & Navarro Law Firm, Mill Creek Septic, Ocean Galley, Woody's Shirts and Scrubs, and The Blue Room.

APW Fan Fest will begin at 6pm at the Slam Center warehouse at 1055 Georgia Highway 24 East, located behind Bulloch Janitorial and right across from Mill Creek Park. Future showings for the month will be hosted on the 14th and 28th of January.
