The Georgia Southern Wesley campus ministry organization will travel to the Gulf Shores Retreat Center in Alabama for the Sunbelt Retreat January 20-22. This is a winter retreat that includes the Troy, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Georgia Southern Wesley foundations.
Albert Williams III, Director of Georgia Southern Wesley, has been a part of the board for six months and is very enthused to attend this year's retreat.
“It’s really a time to just connect. We have a scavenger hunt and worship in small groups.”
Albert Williams III
The theme for this retreat is “Dealing with Burnout.” The agenda is set to better students' physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.

The Wesley Foundation of Georgia Southern is an extension of the United Methodist Church. Their mission is to empower students to make an impact in their communities. The organization is a training ground for producing the best citizens spiritually, partnering with most Methodist churches locally.
The Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation has served students in Statesboro since 1956.
They are located at 103 Herty Drive and have ministered at this location for seven years. Members are active on campus, travel for mission trips and retreats, and worship together on Wednesday nights at 8pm.
“We just try to enable students to be the best people possible. Ultimately they’re the future not only of the church but of the world.”
Albert Williams III
This organization is also located on the Savannah campus. The Savannah campus ministry is also a part of the community and welcomes students to their weekly worship on Tuesdays at 8pm.
Williams is currently working on planning their yearly spring mission trip. His goal is to plan for mission trips on a regular basis going forward. For more information on the retreat, please contact Williams at [email protected].
