This month, Ecoplastic America is expecting its biggest hiring push yet. Since July, they have made nearly 100 employment offers, and they hope to make 100-130 additional employment offers through August, says Kevin Campbell, the company's Talent Acquisition and Public Affairs Manager.
Their open interviews have been a resounding success, and they are continuing to welcome anyone interested in employment to drop by 25 Siebald Street in Statesboro on Tuesdays from 2pm to 6pm.
Due to current weather conditions, Tuesday's open interview event has been moved to Thursday, 8/8/24, and they are asking candidates to monitor Ecoplastic America's Facebook page (here) for the most up-to-date information about any changes.

Building on their success, this week, Ecoplastic is offering an additional day of open interviews, specifically for spanish-speaking candidates. Spanish-speaking employees will be on-site to assist with the process. "We want all candidates to feel welcome applying," explains Campbell, who says Ecoplastic is committed to building a diverse and talented team across all of their departments.
Mirian Hernandez, an assembly supervisor for Ecoplastic, is one of the bilingual employees who will be helping on Wednesday. She has been with the company for just over a month and says that she is looking forward to meeting prospective team members. "I'm not the kind of supervisor who is sitting in an office, I'm always out with my team, learning and working together," she shares.
As a supervisor, she is looking for people who are willing to work from the ground up, who like to learn, and who are ready to "dream big with us" about the future of the company. She says that people who are willing to say yes and focus on learning will excel.
"When I think about what this will be like when the building is finished and everything is open, I'm excited! It is going to be beautiful." She encourages her team to envision the future and says they are like a family, she brings a cooler with water and sports drinks to keep everyone hydrated.
She says that Ecoplastic has provided "a lot of support for the training and detailed communication about the processes," in addition to machines, technology and robots that take things to the next level.
