After leading 35-25 at halftime, ULM outscored Georgia Southern 11-3 over the first 4:18 of the second stanza, and a Langston Powell triple extended the margin to 46-28. The lead never dipped below 14 the rest of the contest.
ULM (9-11, 5-2) used a 12-1 run, sparked by consecutive triples by Locure, to open an 18-9 cushion midway through the first half. The Eagles (11-9, 4-3) scored seven straight points to trim the margin to 25-21, but Jamari Blackmon and Powell answered with back to back 3-pointers and ULM would go on to lead by 10 at the break.
