STATESBORO – The South Georgia Tormenta Football Club is kicking off their 2024 season with Preseason starting this Friday, February 9. They will be taking on Mercer University at Tormenta Stadium at 7 p.m.
In 2022, the South Georgia Tormenta FC were crowned the USL League One National Champions. Last season wasn’t the outcome the club was hoping for, so this year they're back with a vengeance.
Head coach Ian Cameron is more than eager to start this new season.
“Recruiting young men that we’re really excited about is a lot of fun,” Cameron said. “Doing the off season things and getting things planned and watching different aspects is fun. We’re excited to be on the grass, that’s what makes us come alive so we’re thrilled to be back.”
