The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets baseball team is traveling to Perry, Georgia to take on the Perry Panthers for the first round of the GHSA Region Area 3 Class 4A State Playoffs on April 25, 2024.
The Yellow Jackets are 16-9 overall with a 64 win percentage according to Max Preps. They were 11-4 in the region, finishing the season third overall in the region. The staff did a great job of picking and choosing their schedule this season because at least 10 of the teams the Yellow Jackets played this season have made it to the state playoffs. That means that the toughness of schedule has best prepared them for the position they are in now.
The Perry Panthers are 20-6 overall this season and finished their region play 10-2 which had them sitting in second place going into this matchup with the Yellow Jackets.
This is a series matchup with Game One hitting off at 4 p.m. and Game Two starting directly after. If the Yellow Jackets win both games today they move on to round two. If they split wins with the Panthers today, they will have to go back tomorrow for a third game at a later time to be announced.
