SEB will face the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes in the Elite 8 of the GHSA Class AAA state playoffs in Columbus on Wednesday. Monroe Area has been one of the best teams all season long, sitting with a 24-9 record on the season.

Southeast Bulloch Head Coach, Aimee Civalier spoke on what her team needs to do to keep their season alive.

"We need to keep having quality at bats, make the routine defensive plays behind solid pitching from Marissa and Trell," Civalier said. "If we do that, we will have an opportunity to win the game."

The Yellow Jackets earned the right to go to Columbus by defeating the Islands Sharks and the Mary Persons Bulldogs in the first two rounds. SEB hosted the first two rounds of the playoffs, so they got a boost from the home crowd. It is expected that some of the home-field advantage will travel to be with the team in Columbus.

Good Luck, Yellow Jackets!
