- Seventh-seeded Georgia Southern will take on 10th-seeded ULM in the second round of the Hercules Tire Sun Belt Men's Basketball Championship Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET in the Pensacola Bay Center. The game will air on ESPN+ and the GS Sports Network.
- The winner will advance to the quarterfinals to face second-seeded Louisiana Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET in the Pensacola Bay Center.
- Georgia Southern is playing in its 43rd Division I conference tournament this year. GS is 34-37 all-time in conference tourneys, 6-7 in the Sun Belt Tournament, 22-11 as the higher seed, 3-2 as the seventh seed and 1-2 under head coach Brian Burg.
- It's the second meeting between ULM and Georgia Southern this season. The Warhawks topped the Eagles 72-59 Jan. 19 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
- The Eagles are 1-0 at neutral sites this season, having topped Western Michigan 63-57 in the Owl Invitational at Rice.

- Carlos Curry ranks 11th in the Sun Belt in rebounding (7.0/gm) and 10th in double-doubles (4).
