SEB is currently ranked 2nd in the state for their division. If things stand, they will be guaranteed a home game during the playoffs.

The Statesboro High Softball team played in a 3-game series against Bradwell Institute. The Lady Devils were able to come away with a sweep to end the recent skid they had been on.

The Devils dominated their opponents as they outscored them 42-6 over the 3 games. The two teams ended the series with a doubleheader at Mill Creek Park on Wednesday evening. Prior to the games, Statesboro celebrated their seniors with a Senior Day. Kate Yawn, Terrece Gibson, and Megan Hiers all played their final games at Mill Creek Park.

Statesboro now sits with a 10-10 record on the season with only 2 games remaining on the schedule. Statesboro currently sits outside the Top 25 in the state for their division. If they can pick wins against their final two opponents, they'll move up to a more favorable position.

Up Next:

The next game on the schedule for Statesboro is at Screven County on Tuesday, October 8th. Two days later, they will take a short trip to take on Southeast Bulloch on Thursday, October 10th.

The Bulloch Academy Gators had only one game last week. They faced off against the Pinewood Christian Patriots where they lost 10-3. The storm didn't force them to miss any games last week.

The Gators have had an issue with Pinewood Christian as they lost their second game to them on the season. The two teams were scheduled to face off one last time, but the game has been canceled along with a doubleheader with Savannah Christian.

Bulloch Academy currently has a 10-4 record on the season with 3 confirmed games remaining on the schedule.
